Hey all,
Babies are continuing to grow..we are in week 11 already!!! Lisa went for another doctor's appointment on Weds-1/13. She started with a new dr's group today. She said they were great. They are setting her up to see a high risk doctor in Richmond do to twins and age. Lisa will return on the 11th of February for another follow up appointment with this dr's group and have some testing done at that time. Hoping we can find out the sexes then. JJ and I have started to look at cribs, strollers, high chairs, etc..just want to get ourselves ready for what to expect with twins. A friend of mine bought me this fabulous book about twins and states.."don't listen to those folks with singletons..they just don't get it"...hahahha it does say that BUT I will take all the advice we can get. Lisa is now wearing maternity clothes...she is shocked that she had to bust out the bin already..damn Poisson/Sgandurra genes are busting through!!! Lisa has also agreed to deliver our babies in CT...YEAH!!! to Lisa and Jerad..and girls of course..We will take very good care of them when they arrive. We are hoping that Lisa will come mid June and stay until she is ready and feeling up to parting back to VA..if it was up to us we would steal her and keep her in CT. We are looking into using Dr. Viscarello in Stamford. He is a well known high risk doctor and has a fabulous reputation and following. Lisa has also stopped all meds, no more shots or supposotories..YEAH!! Now we just wait and pray that the placenta takes over and no issues arise from that next HUGE step...anymore info we will post soon. Thanks again to all for your love and support..and the biggest thanks to Lisa, Jerad, Amanda, and Jesse..you mean the world to us!!!
Can't wait for the 11th!!! Yay :)
ReplyDeleteSooo excited!! Can't wait to hear the sexes! Couldn't be happier for you! These babies are so lucky to have such awesome parents. I cannot wait to meet them!!! If you need anything, please let me know! I have to call you and catch up!! Love ya. :)
ReplyDeleteAs I keep telling your Mom, we have to get our roller skates ready - maybe we should hibernate like the bears so that we will be ready for the BIG ARRIVAL!!! Love you, Doules
ReplyDeleteYeah! Dee can post pics now. Of course she learns all her computer skills from me her computer geek cousin. LOL Tommorow will be my last trip for blood tests. Woohoo! The bill will be in the mail JJ. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteDee, don't get your hopes too much for Feb. 11th. I don't think they will be doing a ultrasound that day but even if they do, they usually wait until 20 weeks to determine the sex. It is possible to tell as early as 15 weeks depending on their position and how good the U/S tech is, but that's really cutting it close. The U/S tech did tell me it is harder to tell early with twins BUT, if you guys are going to try to come to VA for that appointment just in case they do then I will try to talk them into doing an ultrasound while u are here.
Only a few more days for 12 weeks, a major milestone to get past. Things are looking great. 2nd trimester here we come!
I am so happy for you and JJ. It is truly amazing. I can't wait to meet the luckiest twins in the world. And of course you know that Dr. V has my vote!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous news - especially to see this from afar (5000 miles east!). And kudos to Lisa - you sincerely are a trooper. There is a special place for you in the Hall of Fame!
